In commercial claims – it is all about your policy. Commercial losses, while always tragic, often provide some remarkable opportunities for a brief window of time if you have even a basic package of insurance coverage. Immediately you should order a "certified copy" of the policy from your adjuster or your agent and request it be sent to you overnight. Make this request in writing. There are some very big decisions you need to make during the first several days following the loss. These will include things like temporary relocation, permanent relocation, partial operation farm out, paying key employees, incurring extraordinary expenses to continue operations, etc., etc. all of which must be made with insurance coverages in mind.

The time pressures you will feel, combined with a sense that you lack the information needed to trust your decisions, will feel overwhelming at times. If you have experienced a business loss we really need to speak together today. You can get a copy of your Declarations Page from the Agent while you wait for the full policy.
